Canadian insurers are expanding their respective auto insurance premium relief programs to assist consumers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Here are the details:
Intact Canada
Intact Canada is enhancing its my Drive usage-based car insurance program as of June 11, 2020. Customers who enrol in the program have the opportunity to save up to 30% on their premiums based on their safe driving habits. Intact Canada customers also get an immediate 10% discount when they enrol in the program. The insurer is also working on reducing its private-passenger vehicle base rate as of July 7, 2020, for new customers, and on August 7, 2020, for existing customers who renew their policies.
