With an aim to assist its auto insurance customers during the coronavirus pandemic, Travelers Canada is launching its “Stay-at-Home Auto Premium Credit Program”. All Travelers Canada auto insurance customers whose policies have been active since April 1 will receive a 25% credit on one month’s premium.
Customers who pay their car insurance bill by monthly installments will receive the credit automatically on a future bill. For customers who paid their bill in full, they will receive a cheque in the mail.
Travelers Canada is also extending auto coverage for customers who are using their vehicles to deliver food, grocery, pharmacy and medical supplies in their communities. It does not include vehicles participating in a commercial delivery network.
The new program adds to Travelers Canada’s COVID-19 relief initiatives launched earlier, including suspending the cancellation and non-renewal of auto coverage due to non-payment through May 15, and waiving non-sufficient fund fees for missed payments.
Customers are encouraged to peruse an FAQ the insurer published online. If you have additional questions about your payment plan, contact Travelers Canada or your broker.
